What’s next for Kanketsu-Hen Fansubs?
Kanketsu-Hen was founded by rag_iit solely for subbing Inuyasha: The Final Act. Now that the show has concluded that also brings an end to Kanketsu-Hen Fansubs.

What about episodes one through four and a batch release?
At this time, we have decided not to attempt a release of the first four episodes or to go back through and make a batch. Now if I feel better and have time in the distant future anything is possible but pretty much not going to happen.

Why is rag_iit stopping fansubbing?!
Rag_iit actually got a job and that’s pretty much why I have been doing most of the Inuyasha release stuff and there is no way he can handle being online for a few minutes let alone all the time it takes to fansub.

Unfortunately all good things must come to an end and now it’s Kanketsu-Hen’s time to say goodbye.

What’s next for Cyc?
I, Cyc, have been doing this to learn about fansubbing and to help out these guys that work really hard on it. I knew nothing of how to do this only 9 episodes ago. While I assist commander`A in Ryuumaru with some recommendations and edits here and there, I don’t really play a part in the fansubbing short of helping him encode, checking a random line for errors, seeding, etc.

One day I may start, or join another fansub group and hopefully will have someone like rag_iit who can help me but also let me have some free reign over the style and result. I may also choose to play a bigger part in Ryuumaru so know knows. With my health as bad as it is, I can’t hold a job at the moment and have yet to collect a single penny of unemployment while my health is deteriorating. Basically this is a really rough time for me physically and financially. I have used working on Inuyasha as a means of escaping some of the pain and reality of my situation while trying to bring joy to all of you and hopefully some to myself as well.

What’s wrong with Cyc?
What’s right? is a shorter list I assure you. I suffer from Fibromyalgia, which is basically chronic severe muscle pain all over your body all the time and ridiculous amounts of fatigue as well. Now, it varies in intensity and is “manageable” and I did well with little medication for several years but they became less effective and/or I got worse. I also suffer from Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) which is pretty much digestive and abdominal pain and can cause other rather unsavory things that I don’t think I will discuss further… I have TMJ (Temporomandibular joint disorder) which is basically your jaw joints are screwy which causes pain, muscle tension, etc, and can be caused by misaligned bite or a lot of other things that I don’t feel like explaining but it sucks. In addition, I have two degenerative discs in my back, one in my mid-back and one in my lower back. This tends to cause chronic pain as well and makes it impossible to repetitive tasks, even light ones as even moving my arms a lot or applying force to scrub or clean or lift presses on the damaged discs. Also starting since high school I have had numerous episodes of anaphylactic shock where my WHOLE body would break out into hives even my scalp, ears, eyelids, mouth, etc. as well as my throat starting to swell shut and each time I had to be rushed to the ER and once my heart almost stopped and my blood-pressure was almost non-existent. On top of all of this I have idiopathic hypersomnia where I can fall asleep just about anywhere doing just about anything…not quite to the point of narcolepsy as I don’t suddenly fall asleep but I get sleepy and start nodding off no matter what I tried to stay awake.

As a result of all of this, I took a leave form work for about six and a half months but was anxious to get back working so I went back but couldn’t handle it despite being enthusiastic. I tried to go back on intermittent leave but management changed and it was denied and they fired me since I kept having to call out after working for the company for almost five years.

What are you doing to and what have you tried to get better?
I was diagnosed with most of the health issues about many years ago. I have tried various medications, I was in physical therapy three-times a week for over a year, and other exercises and lifestyle changes even going so far as to complete change my diet. At first we didn’t have to try anything drastic. I took Ultram (gen. tramadol HCl) for the pain for years and was okay well it started wearing off too soon so we stepped up the dose but not too long after that we had to step it up again to the maximum daily dose. Unfortunately it got to the point where it wasn’t enough (which is a couple of months before I went on leave). Also during this period I had other medications for the IBS but only took them as needed and eventually the IBS symptoms were minimal. Well I was put on Lyrica which seemed to help a lot and they stepped up the dose to one that was effective for me but without me realizing it until it was too late, it sent me off the deep end mentally to where I was about to snap on anyone for anything. I was shaking, having horrible sweats, and crazy mood swings. I am normally calm and collected so wanting to bust my TV (I <3 my electronics) for no apparent reason really worried but the change was so gradual that it wasn't noticeable for me until it got to that point.

So I had to stop work and come off of almost all my medications and by now I was already taking Provigil for the idiopathic hypersomnia. So everything was stopped and as the medications left my system I felt clear headed mentally but was in so much pain I couldn't get out of the bed. We tried physical therapy but I couldn't lean against the wall at a slight angle and use my arms to push myself vertical (very little muscle power needed) but it hurt too much to do so. I would tend to push myself but as a result I couldn't move for four days or more so I made one or two of the physical therapy appointments a week for a three weeks but it was getting worse not better.

After that he put me on various strength narcotics going so high as to put me on methadone which helped with the pain but I was cautious of the addition so I wouldn't take it unless the pain was beyond unbearable. We tried various other medications to treat the fibromyalgia until we found one that worked some which was Lexapro. I know it's antidepressant but I wasn't depressed and even went and had a psyche evaluation to prove it to my family and doctors. So this is when I felt a little better and after being out of work for over six months I was dying to be active again.

Well that was a bad idea as I already stated. Well then I have was still struggling and right around the time they were trying to fire me and then finally fired me I transitioned from Lexapro to Savella and am now taking that and over the last few months stepped up the dosage of that. Also at some point they started me on Xyzal which is an antihistamine and is supposed to help prevent the sporadic anaphylactic response and so far seems to be working though it hasn't been a year yet, I don't think. Unfortunately, my health is all over the place and one day I will feel like king of the world because my pain is only a 5 or 6 and others I will hurt so bad I can't move out of bed. Also when I am feeling okay I tend to stay up and push it as I don't know the next time I will be able to function because even if I rest a decent hour there is no guarantee that 8-12-14 hours later I will be able to function. Just this last week I changed from Provigil to Nuvigil which is the same drug (basically and chemically) but it is a lower, more effective dosage.

One thing that is very important for me is to try and be stress free. Because my muscles and body is already tensed and fatigued (my muscles are like rocks) stress makes everything worse especially the pain. So I try and watch Anime work on computers fixing/breaking stuff. Anything and everything I can do to keep my mind off of anything that stresses me, which is sadly most of the stuff on my "To Do" list. But until I find a better solution or find something that works, I have to do what I can. I was supposed to be moved out a month ago because my Mom needed this bedroom (I moved back right before I lost my job) but because of my health and inability to support myself, I am not being a burden on her which definitely motivates me to try and function. Only problem is regardless of how willing my mind is, my body doesn't agree with me usually.

So is there anything we can do for you, Cyc?
Well your comments and feedback all along have been very encouraging. And despite how utterly ridiculous it was waiting for me to release the show, so many of you were beyond understanding and I appreciated it and appreciated you all putting my health first. It seriously meant a lot to me and I tried to show how much it meant by making the last episode THAT much more spectacular with the effects and such.

Also me staying “Socially” active is important but with everything I am going through it is virtually impossible to pretend I’m okay like I have done for so many years and I can’t stand people feeling bad for me or worrying about me. I like to take care of others and not the other way around which is another reason this is so difficult for me. All that being said talking to me on #Ryuumaru or sending me a PM, doesn’t have to be about my health, it can be about Inuyasha, why commader`A’s a fag, or computer tech stuff, just being more social and interacting helps keep me from boxing myself completely off from the world.

A few friends told me I should put a donation link up for my medical expenses and insurance premiums (gotta love Cobra) because they know how bad off I am and also know I don't like taking charity let alone asking for it. That being said, I have to pay almost $150 a month just for the Medical (really good), Dental (okay), and basic vision (okay) and for those medications I listed that I take regularly currently cost me another $45 (Savella) plus $45(Nuvigil/Provigil) plus $45 (Xyzal) plus $10(Ultram). So that's $145 for medication a month. So almost $300 a month on medical expenses not including the various meds for IBS, over-the-counter ones, individual prescriptions for acute conditions (antibiotics etc) plus $35 for each specialist visit and $25 for each office visit. So as much as I want to be prideful and not ask, when my parents can't afford their own bills thanks to supporting my brother going to school in Paris, I figured what did I have to lose by asking besides my pride and self-respect which is better than losing my insurance which is already one month behind and they will cancel if payment isn't made by the end of the month. Thankfully I was able to borrow enough money from my Mom though I know she doesn't have it to give me but at least it'll tide me over and keep me a month behind vs retroactive cancellation of benefits. Now, if you don't want to give, can't afford to give, don't believe me, don't care, that's perfectly fine by me. Now if you do decide to donate, I want to make it 110% clear that this is NOT for fansubbing in ANY way and 100% will go toward medical expenses. Minimum is set to $15 to protect against charge-backs and fraud. Link removed, thanks anyway.

All of this being said, I’m not going anywhere any time soon. I will still be around on IRC in #Ryuumaru channel and periodically hop on here and check for random comments.
